Aero Colorado

Project Summary

AeroColorado is a state-of the art, 55,000 square foot corporate jet hangar facility that accommodates both private and corporate aviation users. This state-of-the-art facility required a 285 ft clear span hangar module with two sets of bi parting 28’ doors. The owners’ vision was to create a unique design that was the balance of efficiency and elegance and dcb Construction Company Inc. design team was able to bring that vision to life. The floor plan required large column free areas in which dcb’s framing solution met the objective of the clear span hangar while minimizing the main rafter sections depths, weight, and cost. Energy efficiency was also incorporated into this facility from the solar generating system offsetting electrical expenses to insulation technology and radiant heat and air systems.
